Career Coaching

careerdevel-468491800

As a client of our Career Center, you are coached by a professional who guides you to success on a search for a new job, a better job, a career change, or a more focused career track.

Your career strategist works closely with you to assess your skills, strengths, interests and to identify your needs. Together, you’ll collaborate on a personalized plan for achieving your goals – whether you need guidance on all the elements of a job search or simply want to refine your resume, enhance your LinkedIn profile, or practice interview skills.

Watch our “Ask a Career Coach” video series.

Your career strategist helps you sharpen the tools you need to succeed in a job search:

• A resume that stands out and effectively highlights your talents and experience
• Cover letters that get read
• Networking to find the “hidden” jobs
• Social media strategies that raise your professional profile
• Personal branding
• Interview techniques to strengthen your candidacy

In addition, you will have access to our Job Board with listings from local employers.

Our career strategists can also offer customized services to individuals with disabilities or barriers to employment.

Read what some of our satisfied clients are saying:

  • “The atmosphere at the Career Center was warm and inviting and I knew that I would be in good hands. I can’t thank you enough!”

  • “My new resume is great. You did an amazing job. I cannot find the words to express how grateful I am and how grateful my family will be with this resume…you just boosted up my confidence. I am now prepared to go out there and find my new career.”

  • “I met my Coach when I [wanted] help finding a part-time job. Not only did I find a professional who really knew the ins and outs of her field, but my Coach really cares about the client. She made sure the interviews I went on were a good fit for me personally, not just a “job”. I would highly recommend the Career Center and especially my Coach!”
