Information and Referral
Specialists in gerontology offer caring, expert advice and information about services in the community to help you in planning and caring for older relatives.
Eldercare Family Consultation
This single-session consultation helps all the family members understand the changes aging brings, explore options and start to plan.
Care Management
Certified Geriatric Care Managers provide comprehensive assessments focusing on medical status, current health care situation, cognitive function, environmental safety, care needs, emotional needs, etc. Care Managers work with individuals and their families to create and implement personalized plans. This intensive 24/7 service helps seniors to continue living in their own homes or in other settings with as much independence and dignity as possible.
Counseling/Therapy
JCS has highly trained and experienced licensed clinical social workers, psychologists and psychiatrists available to provide counseling on issues related to aging, affecting seniors and their family members.
Service Coordination
JCS professionals help individuals and families identify and assess needs, determine their eligibility for benefits, and access community services. Service coordination addresses needs in the areas of health, housing, finances, government services, home safety, services for caregivers, and more.
Services for Holocaust Survivors
JCS staff assists Holocaust survivors with an array of services in the Baltimore community. Many services are subsidized by the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany. For information about more community services for Holocaust Survivors, click here.

Social services for Nazi victims have been supported by a grant from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany.
JCS also receives funds from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany for the Emergency Assistance Program for Nazi Victims at the direction of the United States District Court supervising the lawsuit In Re: Holocaust Victim Assets Litigation (Swiss Banks).

Career Services
The Senior Options program can help older workers and recent retirees identify ways to utilize their interests, talents, and experience either through volunteer opportunities or part-time employment.
Legal Services
Jewish Legal Services is a community-based, walk-in clinic affiliated with Jewish Community Services. Volunteer community lawyers offer legal information, advice, and referral services for individuals with limited income. Advice on a variety of legal issues is available, including consumer/bankruptcy, landlord-tenant, family, and immigration questions. Hours are the second Monday of each month from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at JCS, 5750 Park Heights Avenue in Baltimore. For more information and dates of upcoming clinics, please call 410-843-7305.
