Relationships
- Couples Counseling
Licensed mental health professionals work with couples to identify areas of strength and areas of potential conflict within their relationship and help them enhance the communication, negotiation, and problem solving skills that promote a positive, mutual relationship. Pre-marital counseling is also available.

- Counseling/Therapy
JCS has highly trained and experienced licensed clinical social workers, psychologists and psychiatrists available to provide individual and family therapy designed to help enhance communication and strengthen relationships.

- Brief Consultation
There are times when it can be helpful to check in with a professional for a little guidance and advice in addressing the normal challenges in life. JCS offers short-term (1-3 session) professional consultation around issues relating to caring for an aging loved one, parenting, relationships, and more.

- Group services
JCS offers therapy groups, support groups and workshops addressing a range of life issues including bereavement, caregiving, addictions, divorce, and personal growth.

- Programs for Interfaith Couples, Families, and Jews-By-Choice
The Jewish Outreach Network, a joint program of JCS and the Baltimore Board of Rabbis (BBOR), provides consultation, support, education, and resources to interfaith couples, and families and Jews-By-Choice. Educational opportunities include the BBOR’s “Introduction to Judaism” course.

- Parenting Resources
JCS has a range of programs and services to support parents in raising healthy, self-reliant children.

- Support for Adoptive Families and Adoptees
Adoptive families may face unique issues in raising their children. JCS can provide information, support and guidance, through counseling and consultations for families and individuals throughout the lifecycle. Groups for support and education can be formed for adoptive parents and for adopted children.
JCS also offers search and reunion services, including a monthly support group for people interested in adoption search issues. The group is open to adult adoptees, adoptive parents, birth parents, and birth siblings.

- Legal Services
Jewish Legal Services is a community-based, walk-in clinic affiliated with Jewish Community Services. Volunteer community lawyers offer legal information, advice, and referral services for individuals with limited income. Advice on a variety of legal issues is available, including consumer/bankruptcy, landlord-tenant, family, and immigration questions. Hours are the second Monday of each month from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at JCS, 5750 Park Heights Avenue in Baltimore. For more information and dates of upcoming clinics, please call 410-843-7305.
