Developing a Plan
No one plans to have a financial set-back, but planning is critical to getting out of one. Identifying the contributing factors, setting goals, and developing strategies are key steps in regaining self-sufficiency
Our Service Coordinators can work with individuals and families to assess their situation and can provide the range of services and resources to help them achieve greater stability. The Service Coordinators work with their clients to develop an individualized plan that addresses their unique needs.
The assessment and ongoing work may include learning better budgeting skills, money management techniques, benefit screening and application assistance, and referrals to other services and resources, both at JCS and other agencies, that would help. Clients and their Service Coordinators meet frequently to discuss the present situation, address challenges and to evaluate progress on the plan for self-sufficiency.
